The Community Summary page can be found by clicking Communities on your website. This page is essentially a landing page where you can feature your Communities Served pages, and includes links to all of your individual community pages. Learn how to add community pages

You can edit the default text at the top of this page by going into your website editor, and expanding the page menu for the Communities page. Then click Edit. Here you can add additional text, images, video, and links.

The Communities Served view enables you to manage a list of the areas that you cover as an agent. The communities you add will be listed on the home page or buy page of your website, depending on the website theme you're using. The Communities Served list links website visitors to specific information on a community.

Communities Served provide more relevant search results for your prospects. It allows them to better navigate your site to find properties in the neighborhoods and areas they want to specifically search.

You can choose any name for your Communities Served, with the following recommendation and restriction:

  • Recommendation: For formatting reasons, we recommend using names with fewer than 20 characters.
  • Restriction: Your Communities Served pages will not work correctly if you use special characters in the name, especially / and \.

Below you will see an example of a Search Widget on the left. On the right, we have clicked on the drop down menu for "Area." This shows that "Capitol Hill" is the default area in the search widget.

Market Leader recommends adding a minimum of 15-20 Communities Served and no more than a maximum of 25.  There is no limit to how many Communities Served you may add to your site, but more than 25 can negatively affect the formatting of your site.

Yes, you absolutely can add custom content to a Community Served page.  In fact, Market Leader recommends that you add unique, informative, hyper-local information to each of your Communities Served page.  This will increase the SEO value of your website and demonstrate your local expertise to potential clients.  You can add custom content to a Community Served page either when you initially create it, or afterwards by editing it.
